My English writing skill is getting weaker as my speaking skill.

I got to do something!

Now, I am in the comfortable position.

Little work, and stable salary. I do not get a lot, but enough to survive.

In Japan, we call it “taking a worm bath”

It is like a place we can stay for a long time, but it does not effect to people in a good way.

I can stay here for a long time.

Yet, I do not think it is good to me.

I have two offers; to be an outdoor educator or a study abroad program councellor.

My boss wants me to go both sessions to learn those skills, but there is a time conflict.

To be an outdoor educator, I have to attend 2 sessions (3 + 7 days) in Octorber and November.

To be an study abroad program concellor, I have to go to Germany, Berlin from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.

There is a big international conference to meet the language schools in world wide.

Both are great offer.

My boss will choose which one he will send me to in this year soon.

They are specialized on the defense, like in the natural and artificial desaster.

For example, I saw many of them after the Kobe earthquake on 1995.

I happened to know they are recruiting the support members who will help the group with some skills.

I applied it, and I passed the exam to be a supporter with English language skill.

The support members are supposed to join 10 days training a year, and we can become the official supporter.

Then, if the national difense group need English-Japanese speaker at the crisis, like an earthquake, they will call me to go there.

The training has two parts; one is from today,and the other will be on Octorber.

Both are for 5 days.

In this first training, we will do some basic training, outside training, and a special diffense training with some equipment.

I don’t know much about it yet, but I am excited. I will be glad to get skills to help people.

I will write more about what happens in the training after I come back on Sunday.

I need to study how to teach, if I am really serious.

I had thought about that for a while, and finally my study for being a Japanese teacher started.

It is an online class, and I have to study 420 hours to complete my study.

If I pass the program, I am qualified to have a knowledge of Japanese teaching.

Then, if I get some experience, I will be ready to go somewhere to teach Japanese.

My program is a bit unique, and I mainly learn how to teach Japanese in English.

I think it is very valuable if I complete the study.

Now I have two main textbook; first is the textbook which my student would use, the other is the book about how to use that textbook. I am suppose to study 10 hours (4 lessons) and send a online exam or essay about what I’ve learned.

I just started, but please let me know if you want to be my first student. I need lots of experience to teach.

In my plan, I will finish that program in 6 month. It is very intense, but it’s worth it.

Especially, for learning language, I use a IC recorder lately.

I used to listen music and language tape with iPod, but there is something wrong with my iPod. I cannot use it for a while.

In mean time, I used IC recorder instead.

I found out it really works for learning for a couple reason.

1. Simple. iPOD is very fansy tool, and we can used it with fun. Yet, IC recorder has very limited function. I got to listen my language tape only.

2. Faster play mode. IC recorder has a faster play mode, not in iPod. I usually listen my Spanish and Russian tape with 1.5 times faster. From the first, there is no problem because I felt the tape is already fast with normal speed anyway. Then, after my ear gets used to the faster speed, I feel very slow when I hear the normal speed.

I still remember clearly 5 years ago from today.

It was almost a month passes after I came to Reno, and I was excited about my life.

I got a friend, and she is a 50 years old lady. She just visited Reno for a summer study, and we talked a bit.

In the evening, we were about to walk around, but one of my friend came to me and took me to the dining room in the dorm.

Then, almost 60 people, who came to Reno with me, were there, and they celebrated for me.

It was one of my best day in my life.

Lately, I spend my time to think about my future.

What should I do and what can I do in my life?

I have so many things I want to do, and I have something I do want to do.

I don’t want to be decided my life from any circumstance, any norm, and any common sense.

I have be the person who chose my life.

Then, I made my plan. It might be hard to achieve it as I grow. I am easy going to some things, but I want to be stubborn to keep my way in my life. I will make some change, but my bottom line is if I can satisfy my life.

My next 5 years plan. (It can be change)

2. I will play volleyball tonight.
I used to play volleyball a lot, but I have 9 months break since I came back from the US.
In the mean time, I almost did not play any sports.
I guess it will take some time for me to get my shape and skill back.
Yesterday, I worked out for preparing today, and my muscle is already sore.
I see one team today, and other team tomorrow.
Then, I will decide to join them or try to find other one.
Anyway, I am so excited. My volleyball days are coming back.

Now, I am in charge of planing summer classes, which start from July.

I already made some classes plans.

Then, suddenly, the boss asked me to make the English class with outdoor occasion for junior high school and high school kids.

It will be our biggest class project for this summer, and I have to make the project.

I still do not know how I can combine the camping and English class. I have some ideas, but they are not concrete yet.

Today, I’m gonna see the camping spot today to get more ideas for the class.

I wanna make very exciting class, which gives the student the memorable experience.

For that, I have to think about:  “Camping + English Study =”

The people in general in Taiwan were so good.

Even though, I didn’t speak Chinese at all, people were so kind.

For example, I went to the night market by myself to eat some snack.

I used my body language to get noodle, and I sat down the table.

One store lady came to me and took the rid on the noodle bowl for me.

One customer spoke something to me, and he showed how to eat the noodle.

I did not understand what he said, but I guessed that I should mix noodle before I eat…

My friend’s cousin took me to their parents house, which is three hours drive from Taipei.

My friends got stumps for me at each station to have a nice souvenir.

Also, they feed me and let me have great experiences in Taiwan.

I found myself very luck to experience such a great time.

The biggest reason is that I met more than 15 people, and became friends.

I wish I could speak Chinese. Then I would understand them more.
